Each year students are invited to enter the Cinesnaps short film Competition. These are the seven finalist films as chosen by a prestigious Cinesnaps jury for their strong film techniques, storytelling and a clear connection with the theme “Suitcase”.

10.30am – Happy Feet - G – Runtime 108 mins. Director: George Miller.
Into the world of the Emperor Penguins, who find their soul mates through song, a penguin is born who cannot sing. But he can tap dance something fierce!

12.30pm – Boy - M – 87min run time. Director: Taika Waititi. Set on the east coast of New Zealand in 1984, Boy, an 11-year-old child and devout Michael Jackson fan, gets a chance to know his absentee criminal father, who has returned to find a bag of money he buried years ago.
