SYNOPSIS

Molly Johnson’s husband is away droving sheep, leaving her alone to care for their four children at their remote Snowy Mountains homestead. Despite being heavily pregnant, Molly keeps various threats, from nature and other people, at bay. But when Yadaka, an Aboriginal man on the run from white law enforcement, intrudes on the sanctuary she has carved out, the brutal hardships and secrets that have followed them both throughout their lives must be confronted.

After enjoying the screening, party on at the Monkey Bar Vasse where you can enjoy delicious local food, and partake in a variety of drinks on offer at the cash bar.

Pair this event with the In Conversation lunch, on Thursday 26 August at Eagle Bay Brewery, for the complete festival experience. Go behind the scenes with filmmakers and talent to explore the making of the film. Buy your tickets here!

Please note: runtime includes screening and function; this film screens in multiple cinemas at the same time so please check your cinema number; the Film Prize Jury will view the screening in Cinema 1
